Minimally invasive pain procedures may prove effective treatments for your pain condition.
The healthcare professionals and physicians affiliated with our pain management center perform a variety of minimally invasive procedures for patients whose acute or chronic pain conditions cannot be treated effectively by other non-invasive forms of treatment. Minimally invasive procedures – surgical or otherwise – typically involve small incisions (usually 0.5-1.5cm) and specialized tools (such as miniature cameras or videos with microscopes, tiny fiber-optic flashlights, and high-definition monitors). Advantages of minimally invasive pain surgery include: reduced surgical complications and blood loss, reduced use of post-operative narcotic pain medicines, avoidance of fusion disease, minimal scarring, reduced length of hospital stay, and increased recovery time.
Not everyone is a viable candidate for minimally invasive pain procedures. Those that are need to know that, like other forms of treatment, there are possible risks involved. To find out if this treatment approach is right for you and your pain, or to learn more, contact our pain management center. We’ll help you feel better to get back to life sooner.
